Locally Recurrent Breast Cancer

Local recurrence after mastectomy - 10%
Treatment:
-local excision plus irradiation
- use of systemic therapy is contraversial
Prognosis:
-almost always accompanied by distant metastatic disease
- Long-term prognosis poor 20 yr survival <10%
